The most recent souvenir I can remember is when my parents phoned me at my apartment upon their return from Disneyworld in Florida a few weeks ago. That inandof itself might not be too exciting as a souvenir, but what happened on this phone call was very exciting and brought back a funny memory for me. My father played a recording of the song "It's A Small World After All." My tutor Dave was nearby in my kitchen, and we all got a good laugh out of it. The reason this is funny is that when I was little, my parents took me to Disneyland and we rhode something which had that song playing. It was playing in an endless loop though, and I was crying and begging them to please stop the music. But now that I'm a young adult, I really like that song. It gives me a happy feeling.

Places I Wish to Visit or Revisit Sometime
Mar. 4th, 2018 04:37 pmBack in the spring of 1997 my mother and I flew to England, to visit my oldest sister who was doing a semester abroad for college. She was studying at the University of Sussex in Brighton, which is just outside London. In addition, the 3 of us visited our first au pair. This au pair is now married, and at the time she and her husband had a son. I think they have at least one other kid now. I want to revisit England.
I also want to revisit Honolulu. My family took me there in 2004 for my birthday, and we had a wonderful time. We also visited a colleague of my father's at the time. The weather was absolutely beautiful, and everybody was very friendly.
I'd also like to visit the headquarters of Microsoft in Redmond, Washington and Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California. Those who read my journal regularly and who know me well, will no doubt be able to figure out why I want to visit these 2 companies. But for those new around here, I have pretty much grown up using assistive technology in some form or another. I have therefore gotten very good on the computer, and wish to thank these companies in person for all the hard work and dedication which has come out of their respective offices in this regard. I now have an iPhone, and will be getting some formal training in order to better use it. But I am pleased thus far with it. These aren't the only companies I wish to thank, but I've pretty much only used their operating systems at least thus far.
