The Early Bird Gets the Worm!
Jul. 3rd, 2020 07:21 amHi to all and happy Friday once more. Believe it or not, Independence Day here in the Divided States is once again just around the bend. Not sure what exactly I'm doing yet, but I know what I'm not doing. I'm not going to the beach this year to watch the fireworks. I'm most likely watching them from my parents' 2-flat. I think my father is grilling again, and we're going to play it safe due to physical distancing.

omnomnom yet again, surprise surprise! Lol I just can't get that one out of my mind! But a couple days ago I went to visit some former next-door neighbors from my building, along with my tutor and another neighbor. We had food from a BBQ establishment, and it was quite tasty. In addition, my mom gave me 2 loaves of bread to share with everyone which she baked. A good time was had by all, and our former neighbors are doing great. We were out in their backyard for most of our stay, and everyone took the necessary precautions to avoid getting sick. Ya know, it's shocking to me how some people--apparently an increasing amount--think they're invincible and can just ignore all these precautionary measures. And yes Mister Liar-in-Chief I'm also speaking to you. Being in a high-risk group, I just find it to be a bit unreasonable to avoid wearing a mask and avoid constant handwashing. But I guess some people are comfortable getting sick and perhaps dying. Lol perhaps we'll all have OCD before we know it. But seriously, if Apple is developing a hand-washing feature for iOS then the issue is pretty important. But I digress.
Wednesday's outing was certainly a welcome addition to my week, and I'm looking forward to venturing out more again. I'm also looking forward to moving back. I love my family dearly and vice versa, but there's something nice about independence. Anyway...here's wishing everybody a most happy (and safe) Fourth of July!
