Back in the Saddle Again!
Aug. 7th, 2020 06:52 amHey everyone. Yes indeed, I am back in the saddle again. On Wednesday of this week I moved back to my apartment. It feels good to be back here, yet at the same time it feels a bit weird. I feel like I'm back at summer camp, which is exactly how I felt when I first moved out of my parents' house and into this building. There's a bit less of that summer-camp feeling now, since I've been involved with Center for Independent Futures for a good while and I know what they're all about. But still it feels a bit weird in a good way. I guess when you stay at a place for awhile ya kinda get used to it. I was basically waited on hand-and-foot, but that's a good thing is it not? Especially if like me you have a family that loves you and cares what happens to you. Speaking of loving and caring about people, I truly think there needs to be a lot more of that in this world. But more on that later.
But anyhows...my mom and I drove here on Wednesday morning and we were assisted by 2 staff members of CIF, one of whom is my tutor. Perhaps I'll go back to only having 1 tutor again, but that remains to be seen. No hard feelings or anything like that. So then my mother bid us a fond farewell for the time being and left us to our own devices. My tutor and I did my grocery shopping, in addition to some items which my mother bought for me at another grocery store. That night I slept well as I always do. My shower the next morning felt a bit odd, like I was in an outside bathroom. Not an out-house, as I cannot stand those. But it felt as if I was in one of those rest-stop bathrooms or something. Everything functioned properly though. I've been talking with the neighbors as usual, and one in particular who lives on my floor. Last night went well, and that brings me to this very moment in which I'm writing this journal entry.
A bit of re-arranging in my apartment is going to be done. I already got new chairs which are going out back, and I'm hoping for more new furniture at some point.
As far as my health goes, absolutely no complaints. I have 2 masks, and I might get at least one more. My neighbors all have masks, courtesy of whomever provided said masks. Thanks for reading and/or commenting, and we shall speak again soon.
