Come Sail Away with Me, to Cupertino!
Sep. 24th, 2021 06:39 amThat's right folks, I am virtually sailing the oceans this morning. This is one of the many features of iOS 15, which came out earlier this week. As usual, I'm not gonna list all the new and improved stuff in this major release but I will say that this sound-machine thing is perhaps my favorite feature yet. Since I have a somewhat older iPhone model, there are features of which I cannot avail myself. But I'd say iOS 15 is perhaps the best one yet that I've seen, and I of course recommend it to all who have not yet taken the plunge and wish to do so. For those of us screen reader and screen magnification users, AppleVis as always has a great run-down of everything.
Other than that, I attended a taco fundraiser yesterday for Center for Independent Futures. My tutor and I took the train there, and most of my immediate family showed up. The fundraiser was held at a nearby pizza place, and a lot of us never thought that they would've had tacos. But the tacos were great. The executive director-in-training was in attendance, as well as our current one who is staying until the end of the year to help out with the transition. The new one is learning the ropes, and getting to know everybody.
I'm getting 2 new chairs this weekend, and I'm looking forward to that. My father was showing pics of the chairs last night, but I of course couldn't make them out. So I'll be surprised. I'm told they're very nice though.
I got a new neighbor last weekend, who I think will be permanent. I got to know him a bit at a cookout earlier this week. I think that's all for now. Please take care and be safe and sound as always.
