Hi everyone. I hope you're all doing well and have had a good week. Mine has been very nice, with the exception of the weather. I'm not a fan of these cold temps that Chicago is having. I honestly have mixed feelings about the snow and ice. It's fun to look at, both visually and tactilely. A supervisor/friend at a former job brought in a piece of hail for me to hold and it was a cool experience, pun totally intended! However, I do not like traveling in this weather even with a companion. But I'm definitely still here, and managing quite well if I do say so myself.
Sunday's Super Bowl party happened and it was a lot of fun. We ended up not needing the stuff which I took downstairs to the party, so my tutor brought it back up here and I have been munching on it. My neighbor across the hall made chicken wings, which were a big hit just as expected. As far as the game itself...Well, I admittedly don't have a good enough grasp of football to appreciate all of it. But kudos to both teams for doing a good job. I'm happy for the Buccaneers since they won, but hasn't Tom Brady done that a lot lately? He certainly did that for the New England Patriots. I suppose the only thing on which the 2 of us disagree is his support for former president Trump. But then again, Brady might've switched parties so I'll let that one go for now.
But speaking of the Donald, said neighbor and I have been watching and talking about the second impeachment trial with great interest. The only thing I'd like to say about it is this: if he does not end up with a conviction this time 'round, it'll truly be a sad day for this great country. We'll get through it eventually, but it will not be fun. On the other hand, the history books/classes will be all shiny if he does get convicted for inciting that riot. Only time shall tell his final fate though. I hope to watch today's session, and am curious about what his attorneys will say on the matter.
I think I'll close for now, but will definitely be back next week with more ramblings. Take care, mask up even though vaccines are out, and be well!
