Superstitious Friday?
Sep. 13th, 2019 08:21 pmHi everyone. I dunno, is anybody here superstitious? I think I am, or at least somewhat. I'm not Irish, but I do like these kinds of things. I don't exactly know how disability works into the whole superstition thing, or if it does at all. But anyway...I hope everyone had or is having an uneventful Friday the Thirteenth. Or at the very least I hope nothing too awful happened to you today. I had another great workout this morning with one of my tutors, and then hung out most of the day with my neighbor from across the hall. Then my father phoned me to let me know he's picking me up in the morning to get sucked by the vampire again.
But the Dreamwidth comm that I'd like to highlight today is
access_fandom . This is a comm about different access issues that come up in fandom and writing. A few other things get thrown in there from time to time. I'm highlighting this comm because I just found out at the beginning of the week that I'm hopefully going to the American Council of the Blind's national convention next year, which is to be held in a suburb of Chicago. My brother is now the President of the American Council of the Blind's Virginia chapter, and forwarded the message. I am very excited and hope I actually get to attend at least part of it. If I know my brother like I do, he will make that happen. Not only am I looking forward to meeting other people, but I hope to connect with some of them about independent travel. I've mentioned before on these pages that my independent travel skills are not quite up to snuff, and I hope I can at least get some good advice on that from my brother and/or others at the convention.
