Good Friday Morning!
Apr. 10th, 2020 11:04 amOr at least from where I am. I hope everyone's staying at least 6 feet apart. Good, me too. Or at least I think so. Anyway...I had yet another good week. I'm still camped out at my parents' 2-flat, because of the shelter-in-place thing going on. As some of you are no doubt aware, I happen to have an underlying condition which puts me at greater risk of falling ill if I'm not careful. For those not familiar with the situation, I had 2 kidney transplants and therefore have a compromised immune system due to meds. So my support team decided that it would be better for me not to stay in my apartment. I of course was part of that decision too. After all, I don't want people making decisions for or about me without having a say in the matter. I know I'm far from alone there.
I've continued to do a lot of reading, and not just material provided free of charge by the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled. I've also kept in touch with friends and all that, and they have all of course been supportive. I've gotten in some quality TV and movie watching, and yes unfortunately that does include the news. Who can avoid it these days, right? I think the psychologists and other mental-health professionals are wrong to an extent in that regard.
