Happy End of July

Hi everybody. I hope the week has once again treated you well. It has definitely treated me well too. I'm getting ready to go on another mini-vacation. Actually this is more of a stay-cation, as I'm only moving back into my parents' place for about a week while work is done in my apartment to get the central heating and air-conditioning? installed and up and running. I've actually heard mixed views on this. Some say we're getting both, but others say it's only central heating. I guess I and my building mates will find out soon enough though. I'm a bit anxious because I offered up one or both of my window air-conditioners to a sister who recently moved into her own place. But it turns out that she may not need another window unit anyway so we shall see what happens.





In other news of the week, I'm almost finished with the online course that I'm taking through Futurelearn. It is entitled "Teaching Students Who Have Suffered Complex Trauma", and it has been very enlightening. I think I'll certainly be able to use the knowledge and skills gained, but where exactly is not known at this point. I highly recommend this 2-week course to anybody who wishes to deepen their knowledge/skill level in the area. If you would like a certificate of completion upon finishing the course, you'd need to upgrade to a paid plan. In terms of accessibility with Apple's on-board Mac screen reader, I've had no issues with this or the other courses I've taken from Futurelearn.
