Hello peeps and happy first Friday in October. It's beginning to look and feel like fall around here, and that can only mean one thing: time for yet another entry from yours truly in the good ol' journal. Yeah I know, now's also the time for pumpkins, scary stories, and weather that changes with the drop of a hat. Speaking of scary and not-so-scary stories, please read on. So without further adieu and fanfare...here ya go.

I would like to first of all remind readers and/or commenters that NaNoWriMo is just around the corner. I am going to try and participate this year, although how much I'll participate is tbd. As y'all can probably guess by now, my social life has once again caught up with me. But I've got at most one draft that was put on the back burner ages ago, and is begging to be taken out of hiatus. Hopefully I can begin work on it again real soon. But for now, you'll have to do with these.

Yesterday I had my first routine teeth cleaning in years. My current dentist is set to retire soon, and yesterday I saw him and also met his replacement for a brief moment. I am bringing this up because the topic of trust has recently come up again. Not for me but for a friend. I can't disclose any details, but the 2 of us have been talking a lot lately about trust and not all of it is stuff which I am even qualified for. But on with the show. So yesterday's appointment went well, and the new dentist seems friendly just like my current dentist. Just for the record, I have absolutely no problem trusting people once I get to know them a bit. The same applies to my new dentist. But otoh, my father worked at the same hospital where my endodontist trained. That was discovered on the day of our consultation with the then new endodontist. I also have absolutely no problem distrusting people. That has recently reared its ugly head in a big way for me and countless other American citizens. Foreigners as well have recently been grappling with this issue. I think everybody knows what I'm talking about.

But anyhow...I think that's all for this week. Peace out, and ten-four to all!

Hey, if you decide to participate in NaNoWriMo, would you like to be buddies there? Here's my profile:

I'm frustrated that the regular NaNo doesn't have a place to chat between buddies, the way Camp NaNoWriMo does. But at least I can keep track of you at Dreamwidth!
