I Did It!

That's right folks, I did. On Saturday I moved exactly one floor down from where I was. But more on that in a bit. I want to start by wishing y'all a most happy and safe holiday season, regardless of how or what you celebrate. If you are traveling this year, please be safe and don't get caught in a tangle like a neighbor of mine did yesterday. His original flight out got cancelled due to bad weather, but fortunately 2 family members stepped up to the plate and got him on an earlier flight with another airline. These included the family member which he was scheduled to visit. But anyway, as I have done for the past umpteen years I am just staying in town. My brother flew in from another state a couple days ago, so it'll be great to see him again when I make the pilgrimage back to the 'rents' place tomorrow. But I'm staying in today, as it is bitterly cold outside and I want to protect myself, lol.





And now...onto my move of Saturday. The landlord had 2 of his guys help out, and they arrived early. My personal assistant helped out as well, and the move was quick and painless. The new apartment is very nice. The layout is pretty much the same, so I therefore didn't have much of a learning curve. But even if I did, I always have my trusty white cane to keep me company. Almost everything has been unpacked. There was an issue connecting to my and a neighbor's wi-fi, but it seems to have been sorted out as of yesterday. I'm really liking the place, and will probably be down here indefinitely as somebody else is scheduled to move in upstairs where I was.
