Last Friday in January

jazzyjjHi all and welcome back to Friday. It seems like January has flown by, and for me at least 2023 is off to a good start. I hope the same is true for others. For one thing, I am now a year older and possibly grayer. That's right, my birthday was on Monday and as usual it was a success. I of course got text messages from the fam, and I already got 2 B-day presents! Well if you can call 'em that. One was another shipment of medication, and I think there's only one thing that can be done with medication. I'm not talking about disposing of it either, as that would be a bad thing to do with it right off the bat. But anyway...a neighbor got buzzed when I was in his apartment. He went down to see who it was since our door buzzers are working but not the accompanying intercom system. It turned out to be my meds, which I was expecting anyway. He kindly put them on my desk.
I'm not going to talk about the other "present" which I received, as it is a personal medical thing. But anyway, my personal assistant took me out for a B-day dinner. After talking over where I wanted to go, we settled on a nearby Chinese place. I've dined there before and had carry-out from them. I've always been impressed with them, and Monday's meal was no exception. I'm going to my parents' place this weekend to celebrate too. I was honestly not expecting much of a spectacle to be made of my birthday this year, only because I've gotten tons and tons of junk food lately from various people. However, birthdays are fun.
Other than that, things are good. The new apartment is satisfying my needs very well. I need to discuss a few things with the landlord, but fortunately he is very receptive. I think that's gonna have to do it for the week. I've got a meeting to attend on ground level later this morning, and need to get ready for it. Cheers for now and as always, take good care and stay outa trouble.
