Being Green
Mar. 21st, 2018 11:32 amIn honor of St. Patrick's Day I thought I'd write a little bit about Kermit the Frog's favorite subject: being green. Actually it's a little past St. Patrick's Day but that's all right. After all, he is only a little frog and cannot write. At least he cannot write as good as I or any other of us. But one thing he can do well is sing, and another thing he can do well is tell corny jokes. So here is what I have to say about the subject of green. But before I do that, here is a version of Kermit's song by the late, great Ray Charles. https://is.gd/7ZHqt4 . Burl Ives also has something to say on the subject: https://is.gd/G4vtSb .
First and foremost, I am a firm believer in being good to our environment. Therefore, I recycle whenever and wherever I can. I have a recycling bucket here in my apartment. Actually I had another one for a little while, but it seems to have gotten stolen somewhere along the way. Anyway, I put all my recyclables in that bucket, and each time it gets full I take it outside to the proper dumpster and empty out all contents. I have been doing this for some years now, and it works well.
I also like Green River soda. I haven't had it in a long time, but I like the flavor.
That's all for now.
