May Be Getting an E-Buddy
Jun. 11th, 2018 09:52 pmHi everyone. The title says it all. Some of you might be familiar with an organization called Best Buddies International. For those who are not, this organization pairs individuals with and without disabilities for one-to-one friendships. The organization has chapters nationwide, plus a few in other countries. I had 2 buddies, not at the same time but consecutively. I'm happy to report that both matches were a success. But both guys have since moved onto greener pastures.
But all was and still is not lost. I had 2 buddies from the online version of this organization, called e-Buddies. For reasons unknown to me, both of those relationships only lasted a short time. But I'm getting another e-buddy. I haven't yet been matched with someone, but hopefully that will happen soon. For those unfamiliar with Best Buddies International, check them out at http://www.bestbuddies.org . There is a link to e-Buddies on their home page, but it can be found at http://www.ebuddies.org . I've found these sites to be mostly accessible thus far on the Mac with both screen readers I'm using. Individual matches are free.
